Launched in 1993, this program aims to recognize students who have graduated from high school in Ontario, and encourage them in their pursuit of academic excellence. The program awards bursaries to applicants who meet a set criteria and features an essay writing competition which carries a cash award for the winner.

AJAA Bursary

Bursary Criteria:

  • Be of Jamaican descent
  • Maintain a minimum “B” average in the last two years of high school
  • A graduate of an Ontario secondary school in 2017
  • Provide evidence of community service or involvement
  • Provide proof of acceptance to a community college or university
