Alene Miller-Chen

President:
The President's major responsibility is to co-ordinate the strategic planning and resulting activities of The Alliance. The President promotes The Alliance to members and potential members, communicates with outside organizations, and liaises with the Canadian Government and other Jamaican Alumni Groups.
- Chair all meetings of The Alliance (Executive Board and General Membership).
- Supervises the affairs and operations of The Alliance.
- Ensure The Alliance's representation at community functions.
- Liaise with Canadian Government.
- Sign all documents requiring his/her signature as mandated in the bylaw.
- Responsible for planning short and long term programs for The Alliance.
- Recommend community programs for The Alliance's involvement.
- Be responsible for, and give guidance to solicitation of corporate sponsorship.

Olive Parkins-Smith

1st Vice-President
Major responsibility is to assist the President on special projects, co-ordinate elections and liaise with other/similar groups. Generally be supportive and helpful to the President as he/she conducts the affairs of The Alliance. Manage Human and Information Resources. During the absence or inability of the President, shall assume all the powers and functions of the President.
- Co-ordinate the activities of The Alliance Liaison Program in Jamaica. (movement of gifts and school equipment to Jamaica for The Alliance Projects).
- Chair the Newsletter and Resource Handbook Committee, and as Executive Editor, approve the contents.
- Chair membership committee, ensuring the Secretary maintains updated membership records.
- Manage Human & Information Resources.

2nd Vice-President
Major responsibility is managing The Alliance's Special Events in Canada. Support The Alliance's mission, establish and work closely with 1st Vice-President and Public Relations to develop and implement The Alliance events that will keep the membership interested and involved.
- Co-ordinate The Alliance's events in Canada by supervising the various committees. (Graduates, Social, New Year's Eve Ball and other fundraising/social events).
- Conduct and analyze an annual membership needs survey to gather information on the interest of the general membership.

Advisor to the Board of Directors.
- Work closely with the President by consulting and advising on matters relevant to The Alliance and its members. Evaluate and recommend action to community issues brought before the Board.

Secretary
The secretary shall notify the board and membership of all meetings, record all facts and minutes of those proceedings, and maintain same in designated record book. The Secretary shall be the custodian of the corporate seal and of all books, paper, correspondence, and all records of The Alliance.
- Keep accurate records of all meetings and activities.
- Prepare all reports and documents required by any act or regulation.
- Prepare correspondence for signature of the President or designate.
- Maintain updated record of membership and corporate liaison.

Treasurer
Shall be responsible for the management of all The Alliance's Financial affairs in co-operation with the Assistant Treasurer. Shall chair the Finance Committee.
- Co-ordinate and develop a strategic plan and annual budget.
- Recommend financial policies and procedures. Ensure the financial affairs of The Alliance are conducted in a business-like and lawful manner.
- Maintain full and accurate records of receipts and disbursements. (Disbursements of funds should be on the recommendation of the Board and supported by valid vouchers and/or receipts).
- Deposits all monies or other valuables to the credit of The Alliance in the bank or banks designated by the Board within five business days of receipt.
- Present quarterly written statement to the Board for review of The Alliance's financial position.
- Open all financial report at each Annual General Meeting for the review of the general membership.

The Public Relations Team is responsible for the management of The Alliance's communications to the members, prospective members, and the community. The Public Relations Team shall advise the Board on issues within the community, to promote the goals and objectives of The Alliance.
- Co-chair The Alliance Newsletter and Resource Handbook.
- Inform members and the community of up-coming events (letters, newsletters, flyers, print and wire media, etc).
- Prepare and have ready information kits for distribution to new or prospective members as well as Corporate and Government agencies interested in our programs.
- Liaise with all event committees to provide maximum promotion and publicity.
