The Alliance of Jamaican Alumni Associations (AJAA)
AJAA is a charitable umbrella organization comprised of forty (40) Toronto-based alumni associations affiliated with educational institutions in Jamaica. AJAA was organized in 1988, and since then it has been involved in administering the educational activities of alumni associations in Toronto. The Alliance was incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario on January 21, 1993 and was granted charitable status by Revenue Canada, on March 30, 1994.

Graduates Reception

This function is held annually to congratulate Ontario high school graduates and to encourage them to continue post-secondary education.

Emerging Global Leaders

The Alliance in conjunction with Humber Institute of Technology and Advance Learning is involved in the Emerging Global Leadership Program (EGLP)

Students involved with the EGLP will have the opportunity to learn and grow alongside their peers in an enriching leadership journey that draws upon the strengths of participants. The 3-day retreat will include interactive workshops, guest speakers, reflection activities and skill building sessions to expose students to a variety of local and global issues.”

SoccerFest is held annually in July each year, at one of the local parks. It takes the form of competitive soccer matches among the alumni associations and also serves as a “family day”.
